PRESENTING MUSINGS FROM THE COLLECTIVE

Fatherhood Meanings
by Jack Love
Fatherhood, at least in those early years, is one long
Tension between trying to be helpful and guarding against
Disastrous consequences that result from leaving your
Baby unattended. It is a game of middle grounds, as you
Drop everything so your toddler doesn’t fall on his crown
While simultaneously bending down to lift his little
Frame off the leaf ridden, dirty ground. Fatherhood
Means that you don’t get too comfortable because
Comfort is where complacency begins; it is where seams
Come undone and selfishness wins.
