PRESENTING MUSINGS FROM THE COLLECTIVE

Pinpricks by Carrie Houlihan
A fleeting thought
Brushes by like a pinprick
Slips through my fingers
Creeps and shape-shifts
Like the color of a Starling
Catching the light then refracting
Refusing to let me pinpoint
Where exactly we were
Perhaps it was that spot
On the front porch
Where the light looked best
Soaked through the leaves
In a particular way
When I could see your face
Clearly for just a moment
