PRESENTING MUSINGS FROM THE COLLECTIVE

Pothos by Jack Love
Marble leaves dangle in spirals hanging above blades of grass,
Coiling like a head of unruly greens descending from a brown, soily scalp –
A medusa. Splotches of white splatter on dark, deep, lush green as new stems
Careen in singles, doubles down to the nourishing earth below.
Beads of water skitter across a marble face, spilling to the soil from which you grow.
As light fades on cool spring nights, you sit suspended in the blue-grey sky,
An image of durability, endurance, beauty despite circumstance.
